Hello, we're IOT Homes.
Home repairs and installations should be straightforward.
We handle plumbing, heating, electrical work, gas, air conditioning and smart-home installation for homes across London — with the price on screen before you give us a single personal detail.
We're here to make looking after your home easier.
You should not need technical knowledge, four phone calls and a week of waiting to find out what a job costs. Pick what you need, answer a few plain questions, see the price, choose a time. That is the whole idea.

Our story
How we got here
This started with something most people have sat through. You ring a tradesman, somebody turns up, and nobody will tell you what it is going to cost. The rate is by the hour, the clock starts at the door, and you find out the total at the end — by which point the work is done and there is not much of a conversation left to have.
Almost nothing else is bought that way. We could never see why a leaking tap should be the exception, and when nobody could give us a good reason, we decided to run a company that did not do it.
So IOT Homes started doing the work London homes always need — leaks, boilers, sockets, the things that stop a house working properly. Most of it was in East London, and a good deal of it still is.
What built the business was not clever marketing. It was turning up when we said we would and charging what we said we would, until people started recommending us to their neighbours and their landlords.
As homes changed, so did the work. Air conditioning stopped being unusual. Thermostats, doorbells and cameras became things people wanted fitted properly rather than wrestled with themselves. So we brought in engineers qualified to do them.
The most recent change is this website. Booking a tradesperson online is not something we invented — but doing it with the price shown up front, for every service we offer, is still rarer than it should be. That is the part we are trying to get right.
What we set out to do
- Put the price on the screen
- Answer a few questions, see the figure, decide in your own time. No meter running, and nothing added at the end that you have not agreed to first.
- Keep the price down
- We would rather price a job keenly and do more of them than charge as much as we can get away with.
- Use local engineers who know the work
- People with a reputation in the area and the experience to do the job properly — because it is our name on it.
- Treat good workmanship as the minimum
- Anyone paying for a job is entitled to one done properly. That should not be the expensive option.

What we stand for
What we hold ourselves to
Straightforward
We explain the work and the cost in words you do not need a trade to follow.
Reliable
We turn up in the window you chose, and we tell you if anything changes.
Qualified
The right work, done by someone properly qualified to do it.
Respectful
It is your home. We treat it the way we would want ours treated.
Always improving
Better tools and better processes, so booking a tradesperson stops being a chore.
What we do
Everything your home needs, in one place
31 services across 7 trades. Most homes do not have a plumbing problem or an electrical problem — they have a problem, and it is easier if one company can look at it.
Trust
Qualified professionals you can trust in your home
IOT Homes is Gas Safe registered, and electrical work is carried out by qualified electricians.
Every engineer doing gas work also carries a Gas Safe ID card, showing which business they work for and which appliances they are qualified to work on — so ask yours to show you theirs when they arrive. They carry it, and they are expected to be asked.
