Connecting a gas cooker is work that must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer — it is not a DIY job, and doing it incorrectly is genuinely dangerous.
The job covers disconnecting the old appliance if there is one, connecting the new one, and checking it burns correctly and safely before it is used.
