Boilers are usually replaced for one of three reasons: the old one has failed beyond sensible repair, repairs are becoming frequent enough to add up, or the heating is being upgraded.
A replacement is a bigger job than a repair. What it involves depends on the boiler you have now, the one you are moving to, and whether it is staying in the same place.
The price you see is based on what you tell us. If our engineer finds that more work or materials are needed, they will explain the cost and get your agreement before carrying on — nothing is added without you agreeing to it first.

Common questions
How long does a boiler replacement take?
A straight swap in the same position is usually a day. Moving the boiler, or changing system type, commonly takes two.
Do I need a survey first?
For a like-for-like replacement, often not. If the boiler is moving, or you are changing from one system type to another, a survey means the quote is accurate rather than an estimate.
What is the difference between a combi and a system boiler?
A combi heats water on demand and needs no tank, which suits smaller homes. A system boiler works with a cylinder and copes better where several taps or showers may run at once.
Will you take the old boiler away?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old unit is part of the job.
Do I need a power flush at the same time?
Not always, but a new boiler pushed around a system full of old sludge will not last as well. The engineer will tell you whether yours needs it.
