Rewiring is the largest electrical job a home has done. It means replacing the cabling throughout, usually along with the consumer unit, sockets and switches.
Because what it involves depends entirely on the property — its size, its age, how the existing wiring runs and how much disruption is acceptable — it cannot sensibly be priced online. We visit, look properly, and give you a fixed written quote.
The price you see is based on what you tell us. If our engineer finds that more work or materials are needed, they will explain the cost and get your agreement before carrying on — nothing is added without you agreeing to it first.
Do you need this?
You need this if you have
- Rubber, fabric or lead-sheathed cabling
- An old fuse box with rewireable fuses rather than breakers
- Round-pin sockets, or very few sockets per room
- Wiring that has never been replaced in a pre-1970s house
- An electrical inspection that recommended it
- A major renovation, while the property is already stripped back
Qualified engineers across London, seven days a week.

Questions
Common questions
Why can I not get a price online?
Every property is different — size, age, how the existing wiring runs and how accessible it is all change the work substantially. A survey means you get a fixed price rather than an estimate that moves.
Does the survey cost anything?
No. The survey and the quote are free, with no obligation.
Do I have to move out?
Not usually, though it is disruptive. Most rewires are done room by room so the property stays liveable. Our electrician will talk you through what to expect.
How long does a rewire take?
It depends on the size of the property and whether it is occupied. The survey is where you get a realistic answer for your home.
Will there be damage to walls?
Some, unavoidably — cables run in walls. Our electrician will explain what will need making good and what is included.
