Most boiler faults announce themselves the same way: the heating stops, the hot water runs cold, or a code appears on the display. Some are small — a pressure drop, a stuck valve, a failed thermostat. Others need a part replacing.
Tell us what yours is doing when you book. The more we know beforehand, the better the chance our engineer arrives with the right part and fixes it in one visit.
The price you see is based on what you tell us. If our engineer finds that more work or materials are needed, they will explain the cost and get your agreement before carrying on — nothing is added without you agreeing to it first.

- Step 2:They test the parts most likely to be causing it
- Step 3:You are told what is wrong and what it costs before any work starts

Questions
Common questions
Can you fix it on the first visit?
Often, yes — if the fault is a common one and the part is a standard item. Telling us the symptoms and any fault code when you book makes that much more likely, because the engineer can bring the part with them.
My boiler keeps losing pressure. Is that serious?
It usually means water is escaping somewhere, or the expansion vessel needs attention. Topping it up gets the heating going again, but if it keeps dropping the underlying cause needs looking at.
There is a code on the display. Does that help?
A great deal. Fault codes narrow down the cause considerably, so include it when you book if you can see one.
Is it worth repairing an old boiler?
It depends on the fault, the age of the boiler and what the repair costs. Our engineer will tell you honestly if a repair is not the sensible option, so you can decide.
I can smell gas. What should I do?
Do not book online. Leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away. They are available 24 hours a day.
