Installation Scheduler
- Location
- Leeds
- Employment type
- Full time
- Salary
- £26,000 – £32,000 a year
The role
Every booking a customer makes online has to turn into a real engineer, at a real address, at a time that suits them. That is this job.
You will own the diary: booking work in, moving it when plans change, and making sure the person waiting at home knows what is happening. When something slips — a job overruns, a van breaks down, a customer has to go out — you are the one who spots it early and sorts it before it becomes a problem.
What you will be doing
- Booking installation and service appointments into engineer diaries
- Balancing workload across the team and across the working week
- Talking to customers by phone and email about their appointments
- Rearranging visits when plans change, on either side
- Keeping an eye on jobs in progress and following up what is outstanding
- Spotting clashes and gaps in the diary before they cost anyone a day
- Keeping booking records accurate and up to date
- Working with engineers and the office so everyone knows what is happening
What we are looking for
- Experience in scheduling, planning, operations or customer service
- Organised, and comfortable holding several things in your head at once
- Confident on the telephone with customers and engineers alike
- Careful with detail — a wrong address is somebody’s wasted day
- Comfortable picking up new computer systems
- Able to change plan calmly when the day does not go to plan
What you will get
- Full time, based in Leeds
- Structured handover when you start
- A small team where your work is visible
About IOT Homes
We are a London home-services company covering plumbing, heating, electrical, gas, air conditioning and smart-home work for homeowners and landlords.
